Trip to North Metn: Kenshara and Baskinta

Boarding: 8:00 am

Departure: 8:30 am from Mar Maroun Church Parking (Click Here).

Return: we hope to be back in the Parking around 19:00

Bus Location: the Parking of Mar Maroun Church, George Haddad Street, Burj al Ghazal

The theme of this trip is Literature.

We will be visiting the first ever Arabic printing press in Khenshara

and 2 key locations related to Mikhail Naimy in Baskinta.

Since literature and wine go together, we will be visiting Abouna Charbel’s winery

to taste their lovely produce: you should not miss their sweet red wine!)

Lunch will be in a little valley between Bteghrine and Baskinta: Chateau M.

Dr. Zakieh Naimy has written a book on “المرأة في فكر ميخائيل نعيمة”.

Mikhail Naimy is her great-grand uncle.

She will be guiding us through two key locations in his life,

with personal and historical anecdotes about Mikhail Naimy.

Parking for a while day (Mar Maroun) is at LL 5000.
