The Profile of the Talk
In this talk, Peter will discuss the incredible fusion of Arabian and Western music. He will be presenting the work the Peace and Prosperity Trust carried in developing young musicians and singers from Lebanon and the Levant.
The talk will also show how the Trust managed to bring some of the world’s greatest artists to Lebanon and throughout the Middle East.

Peter will be joined by Rajai Khoury, a long time friend of Karaz w Laimoon. Rajai is a Founding Trustee and Chairman of the Trust.

During the talk, Peter will be presenting a few clips to show how this fusion took place.

Peter Brightman
Peter Brightman is known as one of the top world-class professionals in the entertainment industry, innovating and influencing the Arts, Music and Culture in a career spanning over forty years.

It is widely acknowledged that Peter did much to break down the cultural walls of the Cold War, bringing the Bolshoi Ballet & Opera and the Kirov (Mariinsky) Ballet and Opera conducted by Valery Gergiev & Yuri Temirkanov, the  Moscow Classical Ballet and other major classical artists and Orchestras from Russia to a world-wide audience, including the USA, where he was exclusively producing performances at the Metropolitan Opera House prestigious summer seasons in New York and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London. Peter and his partners have presented artists and negotiated contracts for clients in many of the most prestigious theatres, concert halls, stadiums & festivals, including extensively in the Middle East and throughout the world, covering an eclectic range of artists from Beyoncé, Shakira, Mariah Carey, Carlos Santana, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, Rod Stewart, Enrique Iglesias, Billy Joel,  Sting, Michael Jackson, Sir Elton John, REM, Sir Paul McCartney, OneRepublic, Neil Diamond, The Who, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam), Bon Jovi, to Jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Arturo Sandoval, Buddy Rich, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Tony Bennett, Miriam Makeba to ballet and opera including the Royal Ballet (Covent Garden), Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Jessye Norman, the Dance Theatre of Harlem,  to musicals such as Cats, Mamma Mia, West Side Story, Disney's, High School Musical, Zorro (the musical)  and X-Factor live shows in the UK and many others.

Peter is proud to manage the wonderful artist, Omar Kamal, and also acts as a consultant to music and arts festivals, governments, city authorities & international corporations for their events and new venues. Peter is a trustee of the Peace & Prosperity Trust, a charitable organization supporting young artists from the Middle East and Refugee areas. There is no doubt that Peter’s success and longevity in the entertainment industry is due to his integrity, his passion, his ground-breaking nature, and his ability to get things done on an international level.
