The evening will consist of several videos showing Tariq Ali being interviewed, giving talks and making strong points about a variety of literary and social issues.

Tariq Ali

Tariq Ali:  (1943 - ) is a British Pakistani writer, journalist, and filmmaker. He is a member of the editorial committee of the New Left Review and Sin Permiso (Spanish), and contributes to The Guardian, CounterPunch, and the London Review of Books. He read Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) in the University of Oxford.
He is the author of several books, including
a) Pakistan: Military Rule or People's Power (1970),
b) Can Pakistan Survive? The Death of a State (1991)
c) Pirates Of The Caribbean: Axis Of Hope (2006)
d) Conversations with Edward Said (2005)
e) Bush in Babylon (2003)
