Zeina will share with us her experience as a Drama Therapist in 2 major Lebanese prisons. She will talk about the difficulties that were faced producing the plays and the achievements reaped at the individual and legal levels. The talk will include video clips from her latest production in the Baabda Women’s Prison: Sheherazade.

Zeina Daccache has a BA in Theater Studies, an MA in Clinical Psychology, is a registered Drama Therapist with the National Association for Drama Therapy (NADT), USA. She is the founder and Executive Director of Catharsis – Lebanese Center for Drama Therapy and works as a drama therapist in different settings. Since 2006, she has been implementing Drama Therapy processes in Lebanon and the Middle East. In the framework of Catharsis projects with disadvantages populations, she directed plays and films for advocacy and awareness-raising such as the documentary Any (2007), 12 Angry Lebanese – The Play (2009) and 12 Angry Lebanese – the Documentary (2009).
Zeina is the recipient of many awards given for her distinguished contributions to the field of social initiatives and services.
